This year the government is offering up billions of dollars in grants and aide for households, so I did a little research into how to get some public grants and these were the best programs that I found.

I was able to find something for every situation from, starting a business, writing a book, tutoring, taking college-level classes, mortgage assistance, and money to help buy your first home. The programs available were almost endless.

The government sets up a budget for these agencies each year and these companies are paid to give away money. If the agency doesn’t give away all of the allocated money, than their budget will be reduced the following year. Here’s my story:
When I got out of college I had never heard of government grant programs. I had taken in over $80,000 in student loans to fund a degree in Psychology. After coming out of college in 2007 I found that the economy literally tanked as the housing bubble was starting to rear its ugly head. The only job I could find with my degree was an office assistant position which paid a little over $10 an hour. The after tax take home pay was hardly enough to pay for the rent on my one bedroom apartment, the utilities, and groceries. I couldn’t see an end to my amounting student loan obligations especially since the deferred interest payments expired after six months I was left with having to pay upwards of $400 for my loan with staggering interest.

Flash forward two and a half years and I am happy to say that I’m able to easily fulfill all of my debt obligations as a result of the programs that I found. I was able to sign up for public grants that gave me a $10,000 check to start my own string of websites. The money was just the kick start that I needed to build an online money making business venture to create an income for myself. I did not want to be an office assistant for the next five years with a meager paycheck but with the way things were going and the student loan I felt as though I was always behind in life.
